"
As a father and husband, I know and understand how important it is to balance time and energy between life and home. I also understand how difficult it is to have a successful career while managing all the necessary tasks and challenges of home. I can’t say that I have it all figured out every day, but I am constantly and consistently moving towards being better daily. I have an excellent partner in my wife who keeps me honest and lets me know how I am doing in this area.As a pastor, I know what it is like to give care to others but not taking time out myself. For the first 16 years of my professional career, I was on a coaching plan to grab lunch and regular breaks. I have a big motor, and it has served me well. Over time, being surrounded by excellent coaches and coaching has helped me do a lot without flaming out.
One fact about my life is, no matter what I do or where I go, every position that I occupied served people. When I was in the Navy, I was a chef. I loved food, still do. It satisfies the creativity that the right side of my brain needs. At one time, I thought I would be the next big thing on Food Network. Clearly, that never happened, and I am grateful. If I had become a super TV chef, I would have never found Regent University and enrolled in the Organizational Leadership and Management program. I also would have never taken that elective course in coaching that started my passion for this great art and science.
As a leader, I count it is a privilege to serve people, help people, and see them win. Everyone is a living story, writing the narrative of their life. I enjoy being a small part of that story, a catalyst that makes a difference and changes the trajectory of your life positively.
Everyone has a superpower. I’ve learned that my superpower is developing others, analyzing situations, and challenging people to become their best selves. I have lots of hats, titles, degrees, and passions. What drives my passions daily is to see lives changed."
